UPDATED ON 13 JANUARY 2012
Since Nationwide News (NWN)'s launch of CircOne on 10 October 2011, NANA has been receiving queries and complaints about CircOne's features. Some are related to the software, whereas others are related to NWN's internal business processes.
Firstly, NANA encourages Newsagents to contact NWN's customer service centre via This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or (02) 9288 3800. NANA also recommends to Newsagents to familiarise themselves with their "Go Live Kit" that was distributed.
That said, NANA has already collected now 52 queries/issues from Newsagents and are currently working with NWN to resolve them.
To highlight the gravity of the 52 queries and issues collected so far, here is a real life example:
A Newsagent checks to see what quantities of newspapers he is expecting in the coming days/weeks.
He looks up and sees he is getting his normal allocations of over 2,500 for each day.
On the day, he receives only 600+.
What happened was that CircOne was showing the allocations via the Draw Change Entry window.
The Newsagent closed that window by hitting the Submit button.
But CircOne (a) automatically populates the fields to zero (0),
and (b) allows zero (0) to be accepted instead of 2,500+.
This is despite CircOne having a tolerance limit of 10% for increases,
but has no tolerance limit for more 10% decreases in supply, even zero.
The list of 52 queries/issues issues can be downloaded below. They range from:
• general communications
• customer service centre
• returns
• accounts/reconciliation/payments
• subscriptions
• circulation quantities
• circulation quantities reports in lieu of delivery dockets
• promotional material
• the CircOne interface
NANA will be updating this webpage with news and information about the progress of resolving these queries and issues.
In the meantime, if you have a problem, query or issue that is not being resolved by NWN, please contact NANA. We are also keen to receive examples of your problem/query/issue, which you can call on (02) 9744 0400, or fax to NANA on (02) 9744 0676 or e-mail to NANA via This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
